Data handling#

The two states#

LOCAL — everything stays on this computer.

CLOUD — the selected context is sent directly to the selected provider.

The indicator in the interface shows which state is active before you send anything.

What VOOL does not do#

  • It does not proxy your prompts through Parad0x Labs infrastructure.
  • It does not upload your workspace.
  • It does not send your key anywhere except to the provider it belongs to.

OpenRouter specifically#

Your OpenRouter account remains yours. VOOL sends requests directly from this computer using your key. Parad0x does not proxy your prompts or pay for your usage. Genuine VOOL usage may appear in VOOL's public aggregate OpenRouter statistics, but individual prompts and identities are not published.

Telemetry#

Product telemetry is off by default and is a setting you control. See Configuration.

Your provider's terms apply#

In cloud mode your data reaches your provider under their retention and training terms, not VOOL's. Read the terms of whichever provider you select.
